General Policies

Who we are. 2GUYSINAVAN LLC (“2 Guys in a Van,” “we,” “us,” “our”) provides residential and commercial plumbing, sewer, and drain-cleaning services and operates 2guysinavan.com.

Purpose of communications. We contact customers to coordinate services (quotes, scheduling, confirmations, technician ETAs, service updates, invoices/receipts) and to share important business notices (e.g., emergency/after-hours availability, weather closures). We may occasionally send promotions or satisfaction surveys.

No sale of personal data. We do not sell your personal information.

Limited sharing. We share information only with trusted service providers (dispatching/messaging platforms, hosting/analytics, payment processors, accounting tools) under contracts that limit use to our instructions, or where required by law.

Opt-out. Text STOP anytime to unsubscribe from non-essential texts. You’ll receive a confirmation, and we will stop sending further SMS (except messages permitted or required by law, such as critical service notices).

Rates & carrier disclosures. Message/data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your responsibilities. Keep your contact info current and secure your devices. If you change or recycle your mobile number, please notify us.

Identifiers & contact details: name, phone number, email, service address, and project details you provide.

Service & billing details: job history, quotes/estimates, invoices, payments (card data is handled by our payment processor; we don’t store full card numbers).

Website data (logs): IP address, browser type/version, pages viewed, timestamps, diagnostics.

Cookies & pixels: we use cookies and pixels (e.g., from major ad/analytics platforms) to measure site usage and run our own advertising to visitors.

Communications data: records of interactions with our SMS/voice/email systems (e.g., opt-ins, opt-outs, reminders, ETA notices).

2) How We Use Information

To deliver, coordinate, and improve services (quotes, scheduling, dispatch, job completion, invoicing).

New York sales tax & capital improvements. Prices may be subject to New York sales tax where applicable. Charges for repairs and maintenance to real property are generally taxable, while qualifying capital improvements are not. If a job qualifies as a capital improvement, we may require a signed Certificate of Capital Improvement (Form ST-124) from the property owner before excluding tax.

Appropriate use. Do not misuse the site or messaging channels (e.g., unlawful, abusive, or disruptive activity). We may suspend access for misuse.
